Elke's first birthday is coming up. Yikes! She's nearly one year old! We ordered a beautiful handmade Waldorf style doll for her. But the doll needs clothes too. I got a bit scared when I checked out some of the patterns for vests, jumpers and pants. I decided to start with a hat instead. I used my new favourite pattern. I've already made three other hats like these and I'm getting quicker and quicker with the whole proces. It only took me 1,5 day to finish this. Elke's doll will be a bit bigger than Sietse's doll is. So I'm sure it will fit perfectly.
To get the right sizing I used 2.5mm needles and sock yarn. The pattern had a "doll version" too. But that would be with a larger gauge. I used the baby/toddler size for this hat. Which turns out perfectly using the smaller gauge yarn.
Mooi wolletje!
